Caroline CountyCaroline County, located in the central part of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and bordered by the Choptank and Tuckahoe Rivers and the Mason-Dixon Line, is known largely for an economy based on agriculture and manufacturing. In Caroline there are ten towns including the county seat of Denton, Federalsburg and Ridgely that are the homes to expanding industrial parks.

Maryland Rt. 404 crosses the county handling travelers to beach destinations. In recent years there are new home and business opportunities along this route that attract new residents. The two state parks, Martinak and Tuckahoe, are among county locations that attract visitors and residents for kayaking, bicycling, fishing, birding and camping and other outdoor activities.

Caroline County is located perfectly – about 1½ hours from the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas. Historic sites including the Museum of Rural Life in Denton tell the stories of previous residents.

Public education in Caroline has an enrollment of about 5500 students with an exceptional teacher to student ratio. This is just another reason to make Caroline county your home.
